A story of friendship, freedom, and the beauty of shared moments.
I rarely find inspiration where I consciously look for it.
It finds me in everyday life. In stories people tell me. In encounters that leave a lasting impression. In a glance, a conversation, or in moments that may seem insignificant at first, yet continue to live within me long after they have passed.
Every painting I create carries a piece of a story. Sometimes my own. Sometimes someone else's. And often, a story we write together.
LIBERA SUL MARE was born from a friendship that means a great deal to me.
From shared moments that connect us. From conversations, laughter, and little memories that grow more meaningful over time. And from a feeling about life that we both share: the joy of living, a sense of lightness, curiosity, and the desire to never take life's beautiful things for granted.
For me, the sea represents openness and freedom. A horizon without limits. The vibrant colours express joy, warmth, and an energy that can sometimes exist between two people without the need for words.
The woman in my painting is more than just a figure. She represents a feeling. Confident, free, full of life. Surrounded by sunshine, the sea, and little symbols of happiness.
What has always fascinated me about painting is its infinite freedom.
Through my imagination, I can travel without ever leaving. I can relive memories, transform emotions into colours, and create places that may exist only in my mind.
There is no right or wrong. No rules holding me back. Just my thoughts, my hands, and the freedom to turn them into something of my own.
Perhaps that is what I love most about art: the possibility of making the invisible visible.
LIBERA SUL MARE is therefore more than a colourful painting. It is a small tribute to a friendship, to moments lived and shared, and to that wonderful feeling of embracing life with open arms.
And perhaps it is also a reminder that it is not always the extraordinary events that make our lives special.
Sometimes, it is simply the people with whom we share the smallest moments who make life truly extraordinary.
